THE COVER PAGE
For my March 2019 cover page, I decided to doodle florals. I’ve wanted to learn and dive deep into floral drawings that I thought cover pages was a good excuse to get started. For this cover page, I drew some plumerias and leaves to go around a rectangular frame.
I liked how this page turned out so much that I turned into a printable. If you want to get access to a copy of this page so you can set up your bullet journal or planner, fill out the form at the bottom of this post to get access to it FREE!
At first, I was going to leave the cover page black and white. But then I asked on my Instagram and Facebook accounts if I should add color, and the majority said YES! So I added the color and here is the colored cover page:
MONTHLY CALENDAR AND GOAL PAGES
The next pages on my bullet journal March set up are dedicated to the monthly calendar and my goals. I usually like to set 3 big goals for the month. Have a personal growth goal; this can be anything from reading a book to reconnect with a relative or friend. I also like to include financial and home improvement goals. After I posted this photo, I realized I misspelled goals on my “finance goals” section (*facepalm*) ????????♀️. It has been fixed, but I already wrote down everything for the month, so I didn’t take any more pictures.
Here is the black and white version:
Below is how my monthly calendar and goals pages look after I added the color. I decided to highlight the important dates (birthdays, appointments, etc) o.n my calendar page to make sure I keep them in mind. Then, I added some shadows to the boxes on my goals page.
BRAIN DUMP AND MASTER TO DO PAGES:
Next, I decided to dedicate a page for Brain Dump, which is basically all the ideas I have running on my head in reference to my blog and my YouTube channel. Then I have the Master To Do List, which is sort of like another brain dump, but this is in reference to everything else going on in my life. These pages are a great place for me to write everything down. I’ve noticed that the more I write things down the better, because I get those ideas out of my head, into paper, and it helps me to get things done.
WEEKLY SPREAD
For my weekly spread this month I decided to incorporate some floral doodles, but keeping it kind of simple on the layout. For me is important to Focus on one big thing to accomplish in the week. Then each day, I will pick one thing that must be done so that I can accomplish my one big thing of the week, then my one thing for the month and so on. It’s like a domino effect you create to accomplish big goals. I just started implementing this and I’m super excited for the results I’m already seeing.
All of this is because I’ve been reading the book The ONE Thing: The Surprisingly Simple Truth Behind Extraordinary Results. This book is all about dreaming big, but taking small steps to accomplish your goals. This book shares a simple but powerful concept that helps you focus on what matters most in both personal and professional lives.
