Let’s break it down into simple steps so you can start making bubble lettering.
Step 1: Using a pencil, write the alphabet with block lettering.
Let’s start by writing the alphabet in block lettering – sans serif.
Step 2: Outline the letters with rounded edges.
Next, thicken those lines to give your letters that signature bubble look. You can go as thick or as thin as you want—this is where you can start to show off your style.
Once you finish the outline, erase the block letters you sketched in step 1.
Step 3: Ink the outline you created in the previous step.
Once you like the look of your bubble lettering, outline everything with a monoline pen.
I recently discovered these glitter gel pens, perfect for making bubble letters.

This workbook has everything we’ve covered in this video, so you can go ahead and start making bubble lettering in two different alphabets.
Lowercase Bubble Lettering Alphabet
Repeat the steps above and write the block letters in lowercase.
Then, add a thick outline with rounded edges. Once you’ve thickened the outlines, ink the outline.
Lastly, color inside the lowercase bubble letters.
