Mother’s Day will be here in a couple of weeks!
I usually like to do DIY hand-lettered Mother’s Day cards like this one. But every now and then times slip away from me and I’m not able to make them.
Even if I’m not making the cards from scratch, I still love to make sure the card has a handmade touch.
Last year, I designed this one.
Wondering how I designed it?
Next to doing calligraphy, designing cards, and printables is one of my favorite things to do.
I love looking for ways that I can incorporate my calligraphy into other printables.
To create this printable card got design elements like the frame from Creative Market. The watercolor flowers are from Design Bundles.
These are the two design sites are my go-to places to get beautiful elements to create printables.
Quick note: if you want to sell printable after using the design elements, make sure you get the commercial license for the design element you’re purchasing. Read all the info on their page. Making sure you get the proper license, gives the creator of the design element fair compensation for their work.
After I was satisfied with the placement of the frame and the watercolor flowers, I added my “Happy Mother’s Day” calligraphy to create this card.
I love how the Mother’s Day Printable card turned out!
It was so fun to make and I love printing it and putting it together to give away to the mother figures in my life.
Since my mom is back in Colombia and I’m not able to celebrate with her, a card with a sentiment written inside is the next best thing to celebrating together.

Then, simply print it, cut, and fold following the marks.
I have this affordable printer at home. Since we’re printing a card, it’s best to use quality card stock like this one.

Last, but not least (I’d say the most important part) write a heartfelt sentiment inside the card!
