Easy DIY Mother’s Day Card with Bubble Lettering and Daisy Doodles
This card is easy to make, and the result is beautiful. We’ll break it down step-by-step to make it easier for you. First, we’ll go over the supplies you’ll need.
SUPPLIES YOU’LL NEED FOR THIS DIY CARD
Step 1: Sketch the “MOM” in bubble lettering
Start with a light pencil sketch. You can draw a rectangle to guide where your lettering will be. Then, using block lettering, write “MOM.” To create the bubble lettering look, add outlines, leaving a space from the block lettering, and make sure your edges are rounded. This creates the “bubble” effect on the lettering.
You can even add a cute heart inside the “O” for extra love 💙.

Step 2: Add Daisy Doodles
Underneath the word “MOM,” draw three daisies with big petals and a round yellow center. Keep it loose and fun!

Use the Spring Flower Doodle Guide from my Patreon for better step-by-step guidance on how to draw the daisy doodle and other beautiful spring flower doodles.
Step 3: Ink and Color
Using a kneaded eraser, erase most of the sketch. In this case, a kneaded eraser is better than a regular eraser because it can still leave a trace of your design while removing most of the pencil sketch. This makes it easier to outline and color the design.
Outline everything using a fineliner. Once the ink dries, erase your pencil marks. Then color in your letters and flowers with soft pastel tones for a warm, happy feel.

Step 4: Add Shadows and Highlights
Use a gray marker or pencil to add a soft drop shadow to your letters. To make the letters pop, add tiny white highlights.

Step 5: Customize & Gift
Write a sweet note inside, and give it to a mom you love 💌 You can also print multiple copies of the design from the traceable version available on my Patreon.
