HOW TO LETTER OCTOBER IN 5 DIFFERENT WAYS?
These are the 5 different styles Iโll show how to letter October in this tutorial:

- Block lettering Style.
By writing the same words in different ways, youโll improve your lettering skills. In turn, it will help you find your unique calligraphy style.
Each time you letter a word a different way, you can pick the letter form you like best and keep using it. Developing your calligraphy style is essential to make sure your lettering doesnโt look like anyone else. There will be some similarities, but you want your style to be unique.

Having the right tools to practice calligraphy is essential. You don’t need anything expensive or fancy to start. But make sure you’re using the right tools to help you avoid frustration.

HOW TO USE THIS FREE “5 WAYS TO LETTER OCTOBER” PRACTICE WORKSHEET?
- Grab the “5 Ways to Letter The Months of the Year Workbook” from the shop here.
- The workbook will be an instant download, and you can print it at home or at a local printer store, or even the library. You can use this inexpensive laser printer. (This printer is black and white. But thatโs all you need at the moment to print the practice sheets). If you prefer a color printer, this is another inexpensive option
- Set your printer scaling to โFit Page.โ
- Once youโve printed your worksheet, youโre ready to get your practice going!
- IMPORTANT TIP:ย Slow down! As you are practicing, make sure to take your time. Doing calligraphy is not meant to be fast.
- REMEMBER: Use light pressure for the upstrokesย (when youโre moving the pen upwards). Andย heavy pressure for the downstrokesย (when youโre moving the pen upwards). Find a comfortable position and take breaks if you need to.ย Lift your pen between each stroke as youโre practicing the letterforms. You can also adjust your page anytime to get a better angle.
